When you come to Hotel Canareggio 2357 you too will tell us it was easy and convenient to find us, whether on foot from the railway station or by taking the vaporetto from the car terminal. You will settle into the room and then pass through reception so we can give you advice for visiting Venice, how to move around, what to see, where to eat and beautiful places to take photos for Instagram.
From the hotel you can reach the Rialto in ten minutes on foot and then you continue walking up to Piazza San Marco. In an instant you will be in under the arcades, look up and you will be left speechless by the spectacle of the world’s most beautiful piazza!
Enjoy Venice and walk around all day but in the evening we recommend that you stay in the area around Hotel Cannaregio 2357. Two minutes from here is the backbone of the Ormesini with its osterie for an aperitif and cicheti (snacks) as well as the small restaurants with their typical Venetian cuisine. This is the area most loved by the Venetians for a chat and to drink an ombra (glass of wine) in company.
How to reach us
From Piazzale Roma and the Tronchetto take the ACTV Line 1 vaporetto and get off at the “San Marcuolo –Casinò” stop. Take the street in front of the stop and at the end turn right, cross the bridge and keep to the left. Turn right and you will be in Calle (street) Colombina. At the end of the calle to the right you will find the small square with the well and Hotel Cannaregio 2357.
With the train you will arrive in the centre of Venice on the Grand Canal. Come out of the station and follow the directions for the vaporetto. The ACTV stop is right in front of you. Take line 1 and get off at the “San Marcuola – Casinò” and follow the directions for the vaporetto note above.
Venice’s “Marco Polo” airport is 13 km away and is very well served by buses for Venice. Take the ATVO line 35 “Venezia Express” (a 15 minute journey) or the ACTV number 5 bus line (a journey of about 20 minutes) and get off in Venice – at Piazzale Roma. From here follow the directions for the vaporetto note above
As you know you can only go around Venice’s historic city centre on foot. Leave your car in one of Piazzale Roma’s garages (ask us our discounted garage!), or one of the parking areas at the Tronchetto. Follow the directions for the vaporetto note above.
